There’s a clip going around, soon to become viral, all done in German, advertising a new supermarket chain from the home country of BMW in which Friedrich Liechtenstein uses the term ‘super geil’ in a more than enticing way.
So what, exactly, does ‘super geil’ mean? In a free translation it would be ‘super excited’, with a deep sexual connotation (as you can see showcased in the video below) that immediately got me thinking of super sexy and desirable BMWs. After all, I’m writing about them every day!
Therefore, a top 5 sexiest BMWs of today list quickly came to mind and I had to share with you guys and ask for your own take on the matter.
Sexy BMW number 5 is BMW E89 Z4 LCI. With the hot summer days rapidly approaching and warm spring mornings enticing us, the only true roadster BMW currently makes is one heck of good choice. Looking sexy and taking up after its grandfather, the 507 Roadster, the Z4 carries on the legacy of open top fun the Bavarians were actually known for back in the day. Get the sDrive35is model with 340 HP, 332 lb-ft (450 Nm) of torque and a 7-speed DCT gearbox on it and you’re set for a hell of a ride with the wind going through your hair. Super Geil!
Number 4 belongs to another open top ride, the 4 Series Convertible. With its sleek body and hardtop, this baby is just as good looking as the Z4 but more practical at the same time, being capable of seating 4 people and using a hard-top to keep you protected from all sorts of nasty weather, even in winter time. Right now, the 435i model is the best you can get but a convertible crazy M4 is also on the way, serving up 431 HP and 550 Nm of torque for dinner from day one. Super geil!
Talking about the S55 3-liter biturbo mill, the M3 and M4 combo come into mind. Yes, the two share the third spot on our list as they are basically the same car with either 2 or 4 doors to use. For me, the better of the two is the M3 as it is more practical and looks better to my eye but I wouldn’t keep away from the M4 either. Both of them do the 100 km/h (62 mph) run in 4.1 seconds with the 7-speed DCT gearbox and both look absolutely brilliant with their CFRP roof and all the new aerodynamic tweaks. Super Geil!
Runner up is the M6 Gran Coupe, a car that is probably one of the best looking models BMW ever came up with. Initially though of as an abomination, a 5 Series reinterpretation and a useless 6er, the Gran Coupe proved that if there’s a will there’s a way to make people see the reasoning behind it. With the brilliant S63Tu 4.4-liter V8 under the bonnet making 560 HP and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque, the 4-door coupe proved that it’s even better than the F10 M5 which wasn’t included in our top because it’s way too serious. Super geil!
The number 1 spot had to go to the most innovative car BMW made in the last 20 years, the i8. Looking at it, you can’t possibly think of a sexier and more desirable car from Bavaria. Getting over the looks you’ll step inside a cabin made only out of the best materials possible, taking care of the planet at the same time. Furthermore, a recent study showed that some women actually care about how eco-friendly your car is, thus making the i8 even more attractive with its hybrid performances in hindsight.
362 HP and 570 Nm of torque come from the powertrain of the new car, making it a sub 4.5 second car to 62 mph, all all-wheel-drive vehicle and an emission free ride for up to 23 miles (37 km) if you really want to impress your lady friend.
