Thomas Hajek Is Now in Charge of Maserati in 11 Markets

Thomas Hajek, managing director of Maserati Great Britain Ltd has had his responsibilities inside the company extended as he is now in charge of the brand in the following markets: Germany, Great Britain, France, Monaco, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Austria, Belgium, Holland and Luxembourg. The change is effective since January 1, 2010.

Hajek joined the Fiat Group in 1988. Throughout his career, he has been in charge of sales and marketing departments for Alfa Romeo, Lacia and Fiat in Germany and Poland. Starting from 2008 he became chief of operations for the European commercial vehicles of the Fiat Group Automobiles SpA in Turin.

Thomas Hajekn, now 49, was born in Germany, is married and has three children. He speaks fluent Italian, English, Spanish, French and Polish.

We would be more interested to know if he, being a Sales and Marketing executive, has had anything to do with the decision to place a “My Fiat is Fantastic” (mfif) sticker on the rear window of every passenger car coming out of the group’s factories.

In the event he did, we have a little piece of advice for him: please stop the mfif sticker campaign immediately. Take a day off from Maserati and make some lobby. The mfif stickers might have fooled a soccer mom or two, but they sure are a major turn off for the rest of us!
