This Red Mist 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Convertible Demands New Porsche 911 GTS Money

The C8 Corvette is by far the ‘best’ Vette ever made from just about any standpoint. Even the base-spec model, the 1LT, is a tremendous car on paper. It starts from just under $70,000 and you get that epic naturally aspirated 6.2-liter V8 for your money. Here’s the kicker though. That engine only produces 495 hp (with the available performance exhaust), and while that may not sound like a lot by 2024 supercar standards, the C8 Vette still manages to crush it when it comes to straight line acceleration.

This thing needs just 2.9 seconds in order to hit 60 mph, before maxing out at 194 mph. Those are crazy numbers for a rear-wheel-drive car that doesn’t feature over 600 horsepower.

There is one issue though. The base-spec C8 doesn’t exactly look great from all angles, unlike its predecessor or many of its current modern rivals. It can seem a little bit too narrow, almost like it’s a replica of a C8 instead of the real thing – you know how people generally tend to get the dimensions wrong when building replica supercars? Kind of like that.

Thankfully, the Z06 variant doesn’t necessarily have that problem, because it features a factory-standard widebody kit, so it looks more muscular and planted from the get-go.

You guys agree, right? Good, because we just found a gorgeous example getting auctioned off to the highest bidder, with just 2,200 miles on the clock.

It’s wearing Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat and it was specified with the Carbon Flash-painted carbon fiber rear wing, dive planes, and ground effects, to go with the LED headlights, parking sensors, black-finished quad exhaust outlets, the Carbon Flash-painted hardtop, and a set of Carbon Flash 20” and 21” carbon fiber wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires – those babies measure 275/30 at the front and 345/25 at the rear.

Meanwhile, the yellow-painted Brembo calipers and the ventilated carbon-ceramic rotors take care of the braking performance.

Interior highlights include the heated, ventilated, and power-adjustable GT2 bucket seats with Natural Dipped leather and Torch Red seatbelts, carbon fiber trim, a 14-speaker Bose sound system, dual-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, a carbon fiber and leather-trimmed steering wheel, and an 8” touchscreen with sat-nav, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

As for the engine, it’s GM’s new naturally aspirated 5.5-liter V8, with 670 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. With the help of its 8-speed automatic transmission, the C8 Z06 can rocket to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds. That’s hypercar territory.
