Fresh from the realm of the Czech Republic, we’re bringing you this year’s contestants for the title of ‘Idiot of the Year’. That’s right, what you’re about to see is probably the most idiotic thing you’ll watch this year and possibly the year after too.
They call themselves SAPE-CARS Motorsport and are basically a group of illegal street racers that somehow got their hands on really powerful and fast cars. The thing is, we’re all for power and speed but not on public roads and not driven by amateurs while endangering other people on the road.
What’s even more ironic is that at the beginning of the video, there’s a sort of disclaimer saying that all of this was done by ‘professional drivers’ on ‘a closed course’. Yeah, RIGHT!
Right after this absolutely hilarious message (I’m sorry you can’t hear the ironic tone I have ringing in my head as I’m writing this post) disappears from the screen, the hooligans proceed to tear up what seems to be the road between the Czech Republic’s capitol city, Prague and a neighboring town.
On their way, the GoPros are running and all their idiotic driving is captured on tape. The one that stands out the most is the E60 M5 driver that also goes by the name ‘Mr. Y’. Of course, the Porsche 997 911 GT3 and Focus RS drivers are just as crazy as well but somehow, the M5 shines brightest in this ad-hoc contest of seeing who is stupider.
Never mind the way they overtake and the incredibly high speeds they achieve on public roads but as you’re about to see they also tackle incredibly tight corners without visibility in the same conditions. That’s not only stupid, it’s downright suicidal.
And I wouldn’t have a problem with them dying. I know that’s a harsh thing to say but natural selection should work in these cases especially. What I do have a problem with is the fact that in their stupid endeavor to show the world what great drivers they are, they might actually crash and take some innocent driver’s life or maul someone for the rest of their days. And that’s something I will never understand. Furthermore, because of idiots like these, all BMW drivers get a bad rep because humans are very good at generalizing and stereotyping.
To top everything off, the E60 M5 driver posted yet another video on his Youtube channel showing off his stupidity (not his driving skills). This time, he’s going from Prague to a different town called Sosnova. I sincerely hope they catch him and his buddies and teach them all a lesson in modesty.
