Here at autoevolution, we're kind of divided on the Ferrari 458 Italia. Some of us think it's wonderful how it drives just as well as a regular Fiat if you take to the shops and back, others that they prefer the drama you get on a Lamborghini cruising at 30 km/h.
But in all honesty, that's just a question of personal taste and, when you really push the car, driver skill. Ferrari really has done an awesome job with this car, and this shows in their sales figures.
The Goodwood Youtube channel just surprised us this morning with a jaw dropping and scandalous. This example of the 458 Italia, says FortyOneSix, has £100,000 worth of options on it.
Of course, we can't afford to buy a Ferrari, which is why some of these options seem rather ludicrous. But the people who do have room for a supercar in their bank account gladly £1,000 for a badge €5,100 for a carbon diffuser and €500 for a fire extinguisher wrapped in leather.
We do, however, see the sense of having things like parking sensors, a camera, nose-lift system or navigation. And just over £1,000 for blue paint actually sounds rather cheap.
