In the last episode of Jay Leno’s Garage show, the famous TV celebrity and avid car-collector tells his viewers about the solution he finds best fitted to solve one of the annoying parts of owning a car: paint chips. We’re pretty sure most of you guys had this problem, along with key scratches and bird poop, which can seriously ruin one's day. However, it seems there’s a pretty affordable solution for that.
Leno claims the protective film is quite the best solution to keep your car from paint and windshield damage that usually come from small stones on the road. After all, when you spend years of hard work and saving up money to finally get the convertible of your dreams the last thing you want to do is keep paying visits to the repair shop.

In case you’re one of those who enjoy pushing the pedal and driving random just to clear their mind, than you’ll find Jay Leno’s video comforting. And for a man that owns one of the world’s most expensive vehicles out there, protecting it from stone chips could become quite essential. OK, maybe you don’t own the first McLaren P1 to touch American soil, like Leno does, but that doesn’t mean you can take care of your four-wheeler.

Specs wise, according to Ryan Tounsley, the owner of Protective Film Solutions, it will cost between $1,500 and $2,500 to get the job done depending on the car. But once it’s ready, you’ll have no worries for up to 10 years. Which sounds pretty damn good if you ask us... especially when the McLaren P1 costs a few hundred times more.
