More than a year has passed since the official Cyberpunk 2077 X/Twitter account teased fans about the Tesla Cybertruck appearing in their flagship first-person game. The image they rendered and posted with the custom model looked as Cyberpunkish as possible. So where is the Cybertruck?
The Tesla Cybertruck is out and about in the United States and comes in three versions. First, the "low-end" model is priced at $61,000 with rear-wheel drive. While it's no slouch, it's no 911 Turbo S either, and hits 60 in 6.5 seconds. Suffice it to say that this one won't tow a Porsche in a drag race.

The second model is all-wheel drive and starts from around $80,000. It can produce 600 horsepower and go from 0-60 mph in 4.1 seconds with a top speed of 112 mph or 180 kph.

The third and most impressive is the $100,000 Cyberbeast. Its tri-motor setup can deliver 845 horsepower (857 ps) with 686 lb-ft or 930 Nm of torque. The Cyberbeast can hit 60 mph or 96.5 kph in 2.6 seconds and does the 1/4-mile in 11.2 seconds. It weighs 6,799 lbs. or 3,084 kg, has a 123 kWh battery pack, and can reach a maximum speed of 130 mph or 209 kph.

No matter if you love or dislike the Cybertruck, one thing is certain: it sure can make an impressive entrance. The Internet has been buzzing with videos and images of the truck like it's the latest Apple product.

Returning to our game, Cyberpunk 2077 launched Phantom Liberty a while back, and now it's a Game of the Year nominee for "Best Ongoing Game." The category and nomination are up for debate. Still, CD Projekt RED deserves recognition for releasing such a fantastic expansion, especially compared to their initial disastrous launch.

Even more recent than Phantom Liberty, the game developer announced a surprising free update (Update 2.1) coming on December 5 for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. Unfortunately, it skipped the last generation consoles like PS4 and Xbox One.

Ironically, while the Cybertruck remains nowhere to be seen, they did release a new means of transportation we've seen in past trailers: the NCART metro system, which is a far cry from Elon Musk's Cybertruck.

Aside from the fully functioning metro system, you can now replay car races. New accessibility features have been added, and bosses went through a bit of tuning and should now feel better than ever.

Update 2.1 is focused heavily on improving the driving experience throughout the game. It introduces a new Porsche 911 Cabriolet, new motorcycles, upgraded motorcycle handling, and new riding mechanics.

After many significant game updates and one of the best expansions I've ever played, the Cyberbeast is still MIA from Cyberpunk 2077. The question is, will Elon's giant truck finally be featured in the game now that it officially launched?
