Al Jean, the executive producer of The Simpsons, has announced that an episode of the hit animated sitcom that depicts the middle class American lifestyle in a unique satirical way will feature a conflict between the CEO of Tesla Motors and Mr. Burns. "The Musk Who Fell From Earth" is a part of series 26, which will be broadcast on Fox starting September 28th.
Although not much is known at this moment about this offbeat Simpsons episode, we can tell you that it will air on January 11th, 2015. Furthermore, Mr. Burns, the evil owner of the Springfield Nucler Power Plant and Homer Simpson's boss, will lose all his money to the mastermind behind Tesla Motors. With Musk providing the voice for himself, this episode promises to be quite the entertaining one.
Elon Musk made a cameo appearance in an episode from series 25 as well. In "Steal This Episode," the Tesla CEO's name appears as an ASK body spray fragrance. Moments after that particular episode aired, Musk declared on the Tesla blog that "You know you’re famous when you get featured on the Simpsons.” Al Jean tweeted that Musk will "not [be] a "kiss ass" celebrity guest star turn: Burns tries to kill him, and we reveal Musk's master password." Exciting stuff, alright!
Considering that Homer drove an "Elec-Taurus" EV in season 11's Beyond Blunderdome episode, we're wondering if a Tesla car will be featured in "The Musk Who Fell From Earth." Just try to imagine how cool it would be to see the Simpsons version of the Model S. Don't know about you, but we sure hope that Mr. Burns' love for nuclear power clashes with Musk's sustainable energy way of doing things.
