Until somebody, who might just be Saleen, decides to come up with a serious aftermarket job for Tesla’s Model S, various developers keep fitting the electric performance sedan with attention-grabbing mods. The latest example of this sees the Model S riding on custom rollers, supplied by ADV.1 Wheels.
The Tesla was fitted with ADV5.2 TS CS wheels, which come in a 22-inch size for both axles. Up front, the rubber measures 255/30 R22, while the power-harnessing rear axle gets 295/25 R22 tires.

The wheels come with a deep concave profile, as well as with a five-double-spoke layout, using a Gray finish. They were, of course, mounted on a P85 model, which used to ride on 21-inch wheels with a “Cyclone” design when it left Tesla’s factory in Fremont, California.

What this means, among others, is that those pretty far rear tires have to channel 416 hp and, more importantly 443 lb-ft (601 Nm) of torque, which are on tap from zero rpm, since this is a vehicle powered by the dance of electrons.

As we experienced during our Tesla Model S review, this is the kind of torque that can roast your rear tires like nothing else - the lack of transmission ratios means that, once the tires run out of grip, they can spin up to the 16,000 redline.
