Now this is what a detailing expert calls a disaster. The previous owner treated this BMW 325i like a trash can. He put dirt on the car on purpose to make things complicated for the bank that was going to repossess it after he had failed to pay for the car.
To say that this BMW is fifty inside out is an understatement. According to the auction house that is trying to sell the car, the previous owner, who was way behind payments, knew that the repo was coming and tried to make it harder for the bank.
The bank repossessed the vehicle and will auction it off. But there is still a long way to go because first, it has to look its best. And right now, it looks its worst.
The former owner of the 325i probably threw dirt on the white body, while turning the interior into a trash can. The one who owned it disposed of everything he didn't need in there.
Cigarette packs, expired food, plastic bottles, paper bags, sand, dog hair, and everything else you would normally responsibly throw away. The one cleaning the car even finds a tiny stainless steel spoon lost on the floor.

The car arrived at the detailing shop from the auction house on a trailer. It is not registered, so it can't be driven. Considering that the windows are covered in a thick layer of dirt, driving would have been out of the question anyway.
After a power wash, you could finally tell the actual color of the BMW. The expert uses a soft brush and cloth to remove any kind of dirt that might be stuck around the edges. There are tiny rust spots on the white body.
The mats are a total mess, dirt keeps coming out of them again and again. It is the same story in the engine bay, but a grease remover and detergent will get the job done.
To be able to work on the interior, the detailing specialist disconnects the battery. The black leather seats are taken out so he can have easier access to the mess under them.
In the trunk, he finds an alternator and a poster of the N.W.O rock band signed by Scott Hall. Vacuuming the dirt out of the trunk will leave the carpet in a decent condition. The dirt extractor sucks all the filth out, making the carpet look as good as new within minutes.
The dirty plastic on the door cards is next. It ends up looking good, too, and so does the leather that covers the rear seats. But that steering wheel, with the leather peeled off, is a lost cause.
Ten hours later, the BMW 325i with 191,000 kilometers (118,682 miles) on the clock, is ready to go under the hammer. Hopefully, it will have better luck with its next owner.
