He punched a colleague for failing to provide him with a hot steak at the end of a work day. He left the network that housed one of the most successful auto shows in history, taking Richard Hammond, James May and producer Andy Wilman along. Yet, in his first appearance after the so-called fracas that brought TopGear to an end, Jeremy Clarkson was once again in the spotlights.
Things took a different color this time, though, considering that the 55-year-old car fanatic received a rough ride from the Have I Got News For You panel. For those of you who haven’t heard, Jeremy Clarkson is back on BBC for the first time after TopGear’s second to last episode broadcast on the network ever.

Set to air today on BBC1 at 9 pm, the Daily Mirror was at the filming of the show. According to them, most of the jokes revolved around two major topics: his controversial exit from the show, which subsequently meant the end of TopGear, and the TV celebrity’s new job at Amazon Prime.

Team captain on the BBC quiz show Ian Hislop asks about Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn who is “a man called Jeremy who has extreme views and won’t be in a job for long.” As mentioned, the Amazon is also on the topic list, as Hislop goes “I thought you’d be delivering packages to my door.”

If you are looking forward to seeing Jezza back on BBC, you should also expect a lot of punch jokes battering the former TopGear star. At some point, Paul Merton goes “don’t hit me!” when Clarkson says “oh f*ck off” after stumbling over an autocue line.

It seems the TV star was prepared for what was coming, considering Clarkson also pokes fun at himself, opening the show by saying: “It’s nice to be back. Welcome to Have I Got News For You. I used to be Jeremy Clarkson.
