After gaining global recognition and winning a lot of awards including the World Car Design of the Year, Jaguar is launching the V6 S F-Type British Design Edition in the spring of 2016.
This special edition vehicle will be available in two body types, coupe and convertible, and will feature a range of visual improvements and some additional equipment. The power comes exclusively from the 380PS and 460Nm (339 lb-ft) of torque, supercharged 3.0-liter V6 gasoline engine, linked to the eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive.

According to Ian Callum, Director of Design at Jaguar, “Creating the British Design Edition gave us the opportunity to subtle enhance the way the F-Type looks -inside and out.

Starting with the exterior, the British Design Edition embodies the dramatic lines of the F-Type with the addition of the Sport Design Pack as standard equipment, together with gloss black front splitter, body-colored side sill extensions, and a fixed rear spoiler available only on the Coupe version.

The 20-inch Cyclone wheels finished in Satin Dark Grey and having the British Design Edition center caps, the Jaguar Super Performance Brake System with calipers painted in red or black, new badges for the front grille and rear end, and the Union Jack detailed in subtle monochrome are all coming together to give the exterior a unique touch.

The particular badge is not the only thing that reminds you of the “Queen and Country,” as the British Design Edition is offered in a specially-selected color palette inspired by the national flag of the United Kingdom: Caldera Red, Glacier White, Ultra Blue, and Ultimate Black.

The interior is finished in premium Jet leather with contrast stitching, in a choice of three colors: Red, Ivory and Reims Blue. The British Design Edition brand can be found embossed in the headrests of the 14-way sports seats and also on the carbon fiber central console.

Customers will also have at their disposal the InControl Touch infotainment system with an upgraded 380W Meridian, 10 speakers, audio system, or as an option, the InControl Touch Plus with the 770W of Meridian surround sound through 12 speakers. Both of these systems are compatible with the InControl Apps, but the InControl Remote is now available for the Apple Watch. Customers who have this gizmo will be able to lock and unlock the vehicle, check how much fuel is in the tank, find their car on the map, set the climate control or start the engine, all from their wrist.

The F-Type British Design Edition will be available to order at Jaguar UK retailers, and customers will have to pay 75,225 pounds (approx. $110,591) for the Coupe version and 80,390 pounds (approx. $118,184) for the Convertible.
