The Ferrari Enzo Prototype Could Be Yours

The world is full of interesting collector vehicles, but some of this are more special than others. Actually, “special” is a major understatement for the car we are going to present. We are talking about the Ferrari Enzo prototype, which is currently offered for sale by Modena Motorsport (we must thank gtspirit.com for the scoop).

So, this is where the Enzo madness began. According to the vehicle’s description, this is the only working prototype of the Ferrari Enzo to have left the factory.

As you can immagine, this is like finding out Ferrari’s dark secrets, only that the facts are things of the past that no longer serve engineers but collectors. Of course, one of the dozens of icings this cake comes with it can be found somewhere at the middle of the car. We are talking about a V12 powerplant that allows the driver to play with 680 hp, offering a power premium of 30 hp over the Enzo’s output.

Of course, it’s hard to believe that the Prancing Horse is willing to let one of its Frankensteins enter private possession. This is why the listing also offers pictures of the car’s factory certification. The vehicle, which is 2000 model was taken straight from the Ferrari factory.

Here is the description of the car: “The only working test car for Enzo production, which ever left the Ferrari factory. Engine is nearly like Formula One 1991 680 PS, 30 PS more than the production engine. The car was bought directly from the factory and comes with the factory certification. It is a real collector car, it´s the mother of all Enzos and 599.”
