The Crew Motorfest developer, Ivory Tower, is entering 2024 with roars and pops coming from a 1988 Chevy Camaro ZZ632/1000 and a 2021 Mercedes-AMG SL 63 4MATIC+. Not too shabby, but you need the Year 1 Pass if you want to get behind the wheel of these amazing rides. Luckily, there's a cheap way of doing that.
First things first, until January 3, Motorfest is still 50% off at 35 bucks on the Ubisoft store. And yes, you do need to have the Year 1 Pass to get two new cars every month. While sales last, the pass is $25, but usually, the DLC costs $40. However, you can get it for cheap without even buying the game.

The beauty of today's gaming landscape is that, in numerous cases, you don't have to fork over the full $70 to play a AAA title like Motorfest. With subscription services like Ubisoft+, Xbox and PC Game Pass, or PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, you can play dozens or even hundreds of games for a lot less than a fully-priced game.

Granted, your subscription needs to be active to play. But on Ubisoft+, for example, you get The Crew Motorfest Ultimate Edition, which includes the Year 1 Pass, along with every other Ubisoft title. That totally beats having to cough up $70 or over $110 for just one game or their special editions, respectively.

For January, Ivory Tower decided to grace us with the presence of a 1988 Chevy Camaro ZZ632/1000 that has an exposed 632-ci or 10.3-liter big-block V8 that can produce 1,004 horsepower at the crank. It's more than what the 987-hp (1,001-ps) Bugatti Veyron could deliver through its 8.0-liter W16 engine. However, the Veyron has it beat in the torque department.

The 'Maro produces 876 lb.-ft. or 1,187 Nm of torque, whereas the Bugatti comes in at 922 lb-ft or 1250 Nm. The total price for this bad boy was $38k when it was announced in 2021, considerably less than the Veyron.

Next, we have the gorgeous 2021 Mercedes-AMG SL 63 4MATIC+ V8. This baby comes with a 4.0-liter engine that can deliver 577 hp or 585 ps with 590 lb-ft (800 Nm) fo torque. The SL 63 is all-wheel drive and should hit the 62 mph or 100 kph mark in just 3.6 seconds with a top speed of 196 mph (315 kph). Whether this translated into the game as a 1:1 ratio, only actual gameplay testing can tell.

If you have never tried The Crew Motorfest before, Autoevolution gave it an 85 out of 100 rating score and said, "The third time seems to be the charm since The Crew Motorfest took its lessons seriously and turned out to be a well-rounded experience," and that it's also a "bullseye for those looking for a casual racing experience."
