Throughout the famous fictional superhero movies, the Batmobile always was one of the most daunting components in Batman’s vast arsenal. Somchai Nitimongkolchai from Bangkok, however, says that the hero car is not the most precious asset currently part of his massive collection he started building ten years ago.
He has no problem admitting he is a superhero geek. In fact, that much of a comic books heroes he is, that Somchai decided to create a meeting point where other Thai enthusiasts could meet. It all started ten years ago with the Batman Begins film. Apparently, he was quite impressed by Christian Bale’s performance as Batman.
“I saw Batman Begins and was really impressed by how smart and brave Bruce Wayne was,” he said in an interview with Coconuts Bangkok. The Batman memorabilia collector claims that he appreciates the caped hero for he is always catching the villains and handing them over to the police instead of killing them, like other superheroes do.
Moreover, Batman does the job without possessing any of his fellow’s powers, such as Spiderman’s webs shooting or Superman’s flying capacities.
We’re not taking sides here on who is our favorite superhero. Instead, we do want to mention that Somchai could quickly become one of the top ten Batman collectors out there.
Not only did he open a museum people love, but he also managed to get his hands on other comic book memorabilia, as well. He claims he has the largest Batman toy collection in Thailand. Next plan? To make the biggest selection in the world.
