Ever since the Tesla Model S started production in 2012, the pure electric drive luxury liftback sedan has grown to be a favorite among eco-friendly drivers. Although the options list is already pretty impressive, the Palo Alto-based carmaker has updated its sedan with a few new bits and bobs, but not too much.
First of all, the Model S is available in the same three power levels as before: 60 kWh, 85 kWh and P85 performance, all offered with an 8-year/unlimited mile battery warranty. One of the new bits and bobs is a cool grey metallic exterior finish, which is darker in tone than the Grey Metallic hue in the color palette.
Tesla Motors also introduced a posh Alcantara headliner which is a pretty costly option to be frank. As it happens, this feature will set you back a hefty $1,500. A report recently published by Teslarati tells that the once $250 parcel shelf option is now a standard feature. But the big news comes in the form of new vehicles running the latest firmware version.

Also called a negative ion generator, this device uses high voltage to electrically charge air molecules in order to purify the air with positve and negative ions, emitted to eliminate bacteria in the air. Now that's pretty neat.
