The 4 Series range will get seriously upgraded this summer with no less than 10 new models joining the line-up, in both Convertible and Gran Coupe guises.
The Convertible range will get a number of new engine variants starting with the new 420i, fitted with a turbocharged 2-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine making 184 HP and 270 Nm (200 lb-ft) of torque that is capable of an 8.2-second dash to 100 km/h (62 mph).

The 435i Convertible will now have an all-wheel-drive brother that while three more diesel powerplants join in the fun. The 425d model with 218 HP and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque will be joined by the 430d and 435d xDrive models, the latter also becoming the fastest model in the range, doing the 0-62 mph sprint in just 5.2 seconds thanks to its 313 HP and 630 Nm (465 lb-ft) of torque.

No less than 5 new Gran Coupe models will join the 7 already existing ones this summer too. The 420i gets xDrive all-wheel-drive traction and so does the 435i. On the diesel side of things, we’ll get to choose out of a new 430d model that has a 3-liter turbocharged diesel inline 6-cylinder 258 HP engine and its all-wheel-drive counterpart.

Last, but not least, we have the fastest model in the Gran Coupe range, the 435d xDrive. With the 313 HP biturbo diesel 3-liter engine under the bonnet, the 4-door coupe does 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.8 seconds from a standstill.

All models manufactured starting July will also benefit from a rethought 8-speed automatic gearbox with a proactive drive system that is meant to drive fuel consumption even lower.
