BMW made all the necessary steps to get the maximum possible reaction at the 2014 Beijing Auto Show. In this regard they brought all their latest models out in a beautiful showcase of style and elegance.
Of course, out of the line-up, the Vision Future Luxury concept stood out in the press crowd during the first days of the expo but all the other cars stirred quite a buzz too.

Amongst them you’ll find a couple of Asian premieres like the BMW i3 and i8 models, the BMW 4 Series Convertible, the 4 Series Gran Coupe, 2 Series Active Tourer, X4 Sport Activity Coupe and the brand new M3 and M4.

While, at first, such a line-up might seem impressive and a bit like they are overdoing it, looking over the most recent developments, it all makes sense.

In the first quarter of 2014, China further consolidated its grip on the number one spot as the biggest market for BMW cars in the world, overtaking the US by quite a margin. Over January, February and March the Chinese market bought no less than 107,951 units while the US branch managed to sell only 81,034 cars.

That being said, after taking the lead in this unofficial race, China will get more and more of BMW’s attention as time goes by. Let’s just wait and see what this will mean for the rest of us.
