Carbon fiber is now being used for more and more aftermarket projects and we can only be happy that the world is receiving lighter vehicles. One company that has developed an obsession for this material is Tecnocraft. The US aftermarket developer has now created a set of... carbon fiber parts for the current Lotus range (we must thank luxury4play for the images).
To be more specific, the goodies are destined for the Exige and Elise, two vehicle that already worship the God of lightness when they leave the factory.
The company hasn’t released the info for the developments yet, so we don’t know how much weight has been saved through this diet. However, until the company decided to let us know how the parts affect the vehicle’s interaction with the scales, we can enjoy a gallery of images. We hope you like the carbon fiber goodies as much as we do!
“At Tecnocraft, we realize there are a wide variety of methods and materials available in developing carbon fiber products - and while there may be cost-cutting advantages in choosing different grades of carbon, alternative vendors, and sources (even outsources), the Tecnocraft staff production philosophy remains completely focused on [Quality and Commitment],” the company brags on its website, explaining the creation process of its products.
“While our formulated carbon fiber/resin mold-making and production techniques are kept proprietary to our staff, we have briefly outlined and described our development methods to highlight the Tecnocraft 'Tecnology' difference,” the aftermarket developer adds.
