Techart Launches Two New Porsche 911 Turbo Power Kits

The German tuning specialists at Techart have just released details of their latest individualization program for the Porsche 911 Turbo, which includes two stages of the Techart engine performance kits, namely the TA 097/T1 and TA 097/T2.

According to Techart, these engine performance kits provide impressive acceleration figures and a top speed of up to 333 km/h.

When fitted with the Techart engine performance kit TA 097/T1 and added 70 hp compared to the series model, the Porsche 911 Turbo accelerates to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.2 seconds. The forward propulsion doesn't stop until 324 km/h (201 mph). The boost in performance is made possible by optimized engine control and the use of a Techart Sport air filter.

On the other hand, the Techart TA 097/T2 engine performance kit enables the power unit on the 911 Turbo to develop 620 hp and a maximum torque of 820 Nm (605 Nm). The engine conversion involves the installation of a Techart Sport air filter, Techart manifolds and the Techart exhaust system “Sport”.

“All modifications are perfectly attuned to each other via the reprogrammed engine management. As a result, the Porsche 911 Turbo attains driving performance attributes which establish it as one of the fastest sports cars in the world,” a company statement reads.

Performance wise, the sportscar now does 0 – 100 km/h (62 mph) in 2.9 seconds, the 200 km/h (124 mph) barrier is broken in further 6.4 seconds, while the top speed of the sportscar with an 3.8 l engine is 333 km/h (207 mph).
