There are many ways of tackling the Nurburgring. While certain aficionados engage in Touristenfahrten (Tourist Days) sessions with strict chronograph targets in mind, others simply jump aboard the Green Hell ship for the fun of it.
Members of both camps can turn to extreme maneuvers - it doesn't matter if you're looking to jump from one rumble-strip to the next as quickly as possible or slide the hell of your machine: you'll wish to weld that throttle.

Yes, despite the fact that drifting is verboten on the infamous German track, there are enough drivers who go for an occasional slide. After all, such moments aren't exactly easy to assess for Ring officials, since anybody can see the tail of his or her ride accidentally step out at times.

Well, we're here to bring you the most recent example of such a Ring dance. We're looking at a pair of E36 BMWs that seem to enjoy taking the long way around the Carousel.

Going for the wide line will certainly waste more than a bit of time, but it will also give one a predictable corner to drift.

The piece of footage at the bottom of the page allows you to check the pair of senior Bavarian machines in action. And, as we mentioned in the title above, you'll even get to see them pulling a tandem drifting stunt.

It's worth noting that, thanks to the naturally aspirated powerplants of these 3ers, the guys behind the wheel can easily modulate the throttle mid-corner, this helping the rear axle work as a secondary steering system.

Truth be told, the slip angles achieved during the Carousel slides seen in this video are respectable. However, we're asking you not to take such shenanigans as an example and obey the Nurburgring rules - these are there for obvious safety reasons.
