Since this elaborate video appeared just after a couple hours from the Toyota FT-1 Concept’s reveal at the 2014 NAIAS, it looks that Motor Trend were among the first to see it and get more details over the process of building such an astonishing piece of automotive.
Their 73rd Downshift episode features an interview with the two key members involved into designing the FT-1 concept - Calty Research president Kevin Hunter and chief designer Alex Shen.
As explained in the video, one of the key ingredients in creating such a stunning concept car is to never lose that creativity you have at around 12-13 years old, when you are not afraid to sketch crazy-shaped cars and evolve from one to another.
