The wait has ended! After all these years of rumors, hints and the latest teasers, Toyota just unveiled its new concept car that will spawn the new Supra sportscar - the Toyota FT-1.
Also with the occasion of Calty’s 40th anniversary, the company that also designed the 1978 Celica, Lexus SC 400, the Supra, FT-HS and LF-LC concepts, Toyota opened the box and let the FT-1 concept out at the 2014 North American International Auto Show, a stunning vehicle that promises to be the automaker’s most fun-to-drive car so far.

“Beyond its obvious five-alarm visual impact, FT-1 is symbolic of a new chapter for Toyota Global Design. This provocative concept truly captures the passion, excitement, and energy of the Toyota we are evolving into…and embodies elements of the emotion and performance that Toyota will imprint upon future production designs.” said Calty Design Research president Kevin Hunter.
