We're getting closer and closer to the moment when BMW will finally unveil their electric sports car, the i8 and people are getting more and more anxious to finally see it.
Even though we do have somewhat of an idea of how the exterior will look like, on the inside we have no clue what's expecting us. Apart from some scarce info given out by those that drove the prototype (and that being limited to the seats mostly) we actually have close to no idea what's going to be inside the i8.

Sure, we can assume it will be using the same materials as the i3 but the design is what concerns us. In that regard, the guys from Autogespot somehow got hold of a photo showing the interior of the prototype i8 used for various purposes these days (one of them being test drives).

Even though it's heavily camouflaged, we can still make out a couple of things, not too much, but some interesting stuff can be seen. For starters, you get to see the steering wheel that looks quite good.

Second, you'll notice that the Start/Stop button was moved closer to the gearstick lever, on the center console. That's a bold move that we've been expecting, since most cars nowadays use this system instead of the classic key fob.

Last but not least, you'll notice the iDrive screen that seems to be the the 8 inch one, perfect for the compact size of the i8. Whether or not this design will be kept on the production car, we can't be sure right now but would you like it like this? What would you change?
