Superchips Upgrades the Peugeot 207 GTi

Vehicle remapping specialist Superchips launched a new ECU performance upgrade for the Peugeot 207 GTi THP 175. The upgrade is suitable to all model year 2007 onwards Peugeot 207 GTI THP 175 vehicles, and it can be purchased for £391 including VAT.

The 1598cc, 175bhp, twin scroll, turbocharged unit features an advanced MED17 engine management system, which required an extensive tuning of fueling, ignition and boost levels.

This has produced a performance remap for the current range topping Peugeot 207, which was validated using Superchip’s in house chassis dynomometer allied to a comprehensive road testing program.

After the remap, the Peugeot 207 GTi THP 175 produces a power gain of 12 bhp (up to 190 bhp from a measured 178 bhp) with an extra 25 bhp in the mid range.

Furthermore, torque leaps from a measured 258 Nm (188lb.ft) to 306 Nm (223lb.ft) with nearly 300 Nm available from 2000 rpm to 4000 rpm.

The new Superchips performance ECU remap for the Peugeot 207 GTi THP 175 is available by visiting one of approximately 100 Superchips dealerships in the UK who will install the upgrade. As part of this process, the customer’s original file is stored for safe keeping.

Superchips also recently completed the engine upgrade for the Golf VI GTI and the BMW 320d. The ECU remap increased the Golf’s power by 25 bhp, while torque jumps by 47 lb.ft., which means the car will get 233 bhp and 253 lb.ft. On the other hand, the BMW 320d got an extra 44 bhp and 103 Nm of torque, increasing the maximum outputs to 220 bhp and 444 Nm of torque respectively.
