The E36 generation of the BMW 3 Series isn't the first competitor that comes to mind when thinking of a race that involves the fifth-gen Chevrolet Camaro SS, simply because no engine fitted to the 90s Bimmer would make it competitive in a battle against the newer muscle car, at least in a straight line. However, the Bavarian toy we have here has been taken down the forced induction route.
While the piece of footage showcasing the sprinting action labels this senior 3 Series Coupe as an M3 and mentions the range-topping S50 straight-six motor, we're probably dealing with a regular 3er that has been gifted with the said unit (there are multiple clues towards this, such as the non-M door mirrors).

Regardless, the engine now features a turbo and it looks like this packs an uber-short exhaust, which exits the vehicle through the front fender - you can see the hardware spitting flames as the driver works the gears.

As for the muscle car we have here, the YouTube label that brought us the clip below (Can I Be Frank) explains this is animated by an L99, the 6.2-liter V8 that was offered on Camaro SS models built between the 2010 and 2015 model years and sporting an automatic tranny. However, the unit now works with a 2.3-liter Magnuson supercharger.

You'll find the battle between the two beasts at the 2:29 point of the clip below, but please don't use such street fights as an example and stick to the drag strip (pun intended) when you feel like racing, for the obvious safety reasons.

Oh, and while we're talking timestamps, you should know that the 0:32 point of the vid shows another race. This speeding brawl involves a 2019 Ford Mustang GT and a Dodge Challenger fitted with the 392 (6.4-liter) HEMI, albeit with the slabs of America potentially packing bolt-on mods.
