Stunt Driver Terry Grant Explains Leaf Reversing Record Attempt

Having previously reported that Nissan were bringing the Leaf to the Goodwood Festival of Speed in order to set the world record for the fastest time over a distance of one mile, while driving in reverse, it’s not time for stunt driver Terry Grant, the man who is attempting the feat, to explain the run better.
The first tests for the run were carried out at the Santa Pod drag strip, where Terry drove the Leaf (with its speed limiter removed) backwards throughout the compound. Judging by his expertise in the field of driving a car like few can, Terry is sure that the run will go smoothly.

After having seen him change the wheel of a car while it was doing donuts on its own, we say he’s capable of anything behind the wheel as well, and we are sure the run will be successful and an interesting addition to the Festival.

Yes, he really did change a wheel of a car which was doing donuts on its own!
