Ever since the mad 305 hp front-wheel-drive Ford Focus RS was launched, tuners played with the vehicle, launching interesting modification projects.

The latest modification pack for the Focus RS comes from Stoffler, which has had the ambition to launch a product that outpowers the RS500 limited edition of the car (it has succeeded but only just).

The vehicle's 2.5-liter turbocharged engine has received a modified intercooler, new fuel pump, tweaked downpipe and suction pipe, as well as an ECU remap. The tuner offers three different exhaust systems for the car, with one of them offering a sound-control system. This one is developed in-house, while the other two are supplied by CSC and Milltek, respectively. The tuning company also offers 200 cell sport catalytic converters, a GGR sport air filter or a GGR Carbon air filter.

After being fitted with all the aforementioned goodies, the engine delivers 365 hp. At the same time, the maximum torque has been increased from 440 Nm to 525 Nm.

The project, which uses the RS 1 name, comes with a MOT certification that makes it perfectly road-legal.

The Stoffler RS 1 even out-trumps the Focus RS500. The Ford specialists from Blumberg in Germany have increased the performance of the compact street sports car. With all these features, the Ford specialists offer extensive performance tuning for the Focus RS. The Stoffler RS 1 has a real racing car character and yet is also blessed with MOT certification for driving on regular roads,” stated the press release.
