With less than a month until we get to see the first official images with the refreshed Mercedes-Benz CLS (C218), the Germans from Fostla decided to bring a modified example of the current model into the spotlight.
Spotlight, we say? This is more like a Klieg searchlight with the Batman signal over it, but we are not to judge, as the modified CLS in the gallery below is clearly not for everyone but it does have a market.

Although the Prior Design bodykit and the four exhaust exits at the rear would make some people think we are talking about a 63 AMG model, the truth is that the exterior of the car is mostly smoke and mirrors.

Not entirely though, as despite based on a rather economical and not-exactly-sporty CLS 350 CDI model, its turbocharged three-liter V6 diesel has been modified with the help of PP-Performance.

In other words, instead of developing 265 hp and 620 Nm (457 lb ft) of torque, the oil-burner under the hood outputs 310 hp and a staggering 700 Nm (516 lb ft) of torque now, or almost the same as the base CLS 63 AMG variant.

The modifications made by Fostla themselves revolve more around the look of the car though, and the Germans don't seem to have restrained in any area.

Covered in a “Bond-Gold-Matt-Metallic” foil from PWF, with red accents on the front lip and the rear diffuser, fitted with a lowering module for the air suspension, engulfed in a PB550 Black Edition bodykit from Prior Design and fitted with a set of directional CVT rims from Vossen that have been powder-coated in matte gold, you could say that this modified Mercedes-Benz CLS is anything but subtle.

Oh, and the quad exhaust tail pipes probably look familiar because they were taken from a C 63 AMG Coupe Black Series. It's not exactly our cup of tea but it would certainly bring a fair share of attention when rolling down the street.
