The Audi S1 is the only series production car based on the PQ25 platform that has AWD. It and the limited edition A1 Clubsport quattro had to be fitted with unique fully independent rear suspension.
As such, any look under its skirt is welcomed. And being the perverts that we are, we want to share these images from the French tuner BR-Performance Paris, who recently conducted heart surgery on the S1.

A recent drag race organized by CarWow showed that the S1 is a lot faster than the legendary S2, the car that started it all. Yet it's still not as fast as the Audi performance gods. That's because the quattro GmbH chose a standard Golf GTI engine for this project.

One 2-liter turbo engine is as good as the next when it comes to tuning. Stage 1 kits can easily take the 231 PS output to 290 or 300 PS. You can do a lot more provided that you want to change some of the oily bits.

For example, this project from the French company took the 2.0 TFSI unit all the way to 384, making this a more powerful car than Audi's own RS3. If only it had a twin-clutch gearbox, they would be comparable in a straight line.

As we've mentioned already, we like to take a look under the skirt of a car. That's why we know that in between those suspension swingarms flows a new exhaust system from Milltek. It features larger diameter sections and a sports cat with big quad tips. Yeah, it's going to sound awesome.

Moving closer to the 2-liter mill, we notice that it has a CTS Turbo kit, complete with new admission and outlet components Other goodies include a bigger intercooler that occupies most of the front end and a Saches high-performance flywheel to help cope with the power.
