As you can see in the photos, the car hasn't chanced much in its overall appearance. The heavily wrapped up front end of the car however hints that this is where all the action took place. However, if one looks close enough, the now familiar grille seen on the Golf 6 can be distinguished. No surprises there, then...
One may wonder, if the only tweaks were made to the exterior of the car, why is it then undergoing testing? To test its towing capacity perhaps? No, not even. Apparently, Volkswagen is trying to see how the modified grille helps (or doesn't help) the engine stay cool.
Even if not many details are available thus far, it is unlikely Volkswagen went to all that trouble only to provide a new front fascia for the Caddy. Some new engines may be hidden under the hood, but that's only speculation at this point. The interior of the Caddy on the other hand may boast more visible changes.
Until some technical details become available, we think nothing may give you a better idea of the Caddy like our test drive of a Caddy Kombi 1.9 TDI 4Motion by following this link. You should be warned though the test drive we performed is not for the faint-of-heart Caddy fans (if there are any out there).
