It's a veritable Korean car invasion in Sweden these days, as not only Kia and Hyundai, but also SsangYong are testing new models that will be introduced in Europe over the coming years.
The double dragon brand is not exactly as well known in Europe as in the domestic market, but they hope to change that with this car, a relatively small SUV with seven-seat arrangement.
The prototype seen testing in Northern Sweden looks exactly like the XLV concept that was announced a few days ago for the Geneva Motor Show. This has been described as having a 2,600mm wheelbase and is exactly 4,430mm from bumper to bumper. The automaker even went as far as to say that power is provided by a "1.6 litre diesel engine with an electric motor powered by a lithium ion battery."
Like many other SsangYong vehicles, a lot more rows of seats have been crammed into the car than you'd see in a similar European SUV. An innovative 2+2+2+1 arrangement" has been chosen for this B-segment SUV concept, which we think could be a tight squeeze.
