Caught testing in wintery Scandinavia about a month ago, the next-gen Chevrolet Cruze was spotted once again by our skilled prototypes. This time we’re looking at another prototype that features fake taillights and a bit less camouflage.
Nothing too revealing unfortunately, aside from the chrome frame around the side windows, and it looks like it will take a while longer until we get to see more of the details Chevrolet has put into the new compact.
Rumored to debut in 2015 and go on sale as a 2016 model, the next-generation Cruze will be underpinned by GM’s D2XX platform, a new architecture that will be used by other global vehicles, including Buicks, Opels and Holdens. The new Cruze is expected to arrive with an Opel-sourced 1.6-liter SIDI Turbo engine under the hood.
