MG’s return to the European market is now a reality. They have an affordable and relatively interesting car in the form of the MG6 sedan and notchback, with which they hope to make a dent in the German-dominated world of cars. It’s powered by a 1.8-liter turbo engine, though the much-needed diesel is also expected to arrive.
The now Chinese-owned British automaker will also soon introduce a supermini called the MG3, resonating some of the same nature the old ZR hatch had. The car was spotted undergoing road testing in Spain, though the front end on the prototype has been change.
This indicates a facelift to better suite the needs of the European buyer. To be frank, even if they didn’t mask the front end, we wouldn’t have known the difference, since this is a little-known Chinese car.
The engine options will include 1.3-liter with 92 hp or a 1.5-liter with 108 hp. There will likely also be a choice between a 5-speed manual or an automatic.
