The very first images we've ever had of the new CLA Shooting Brake are grainy, blurry and shaky. But all things that we aren't supposed to see and want to are that way.
This new derivative of the CLA four-door coupe fixes all the problems of Mercedes's beautiful yet impractical model. The shooting brake doesn't have a bigger rear overhang, but the taller body at the back creates more luggage space and headroom. Expect a significant boost for the 470 liter carrying capacity, coupled with a more flexible bay, with nets, rails and dividers.
Besides being a sexy car for the family, the CLA Shooting Brake should also offer plenty in the powertrain department. This test vehicle appears to be a CLA 250 Sport model with 211 hp at its disposal, possibly paired with 4Matic all-wheel drive. There's even a high likelihood that even the hardcore CLA 45 AMG Shooting Brake model will be put into production.
