Shelby GT500 Super Snake Shooting Brake Anyone?

While building a Ford Mustang-based Wagon is not a totally new idea, with one such vehicle being created by Joe Ramp in 1965, Ford’s range-topping musclecar - the Shelby GT500 Super Snake - has yet to receive a similar body treatment.

But this could change very soon, as yacht company Strand Craft promises to develop a shooting brake version of the powerful Shelby-badged car and put it on sale in April next year. The vehicle is supposed to feature Shelby’s widebody kit, a full grain leather interior and a McIntosh audio system.

The company also released a rendering of the vehicle, but judging by what we found on their website we have our doubts that this musclewagon will actually be built, even as a one-off model. However, we wouldn’t mind seeing a Super Snake Station Wagon being built some day. Imagine having an 850 HP grocery getter in your driveway...
