There’s a couple of new M models on the way from BMW and the company is really busy testing all of them in the harshest conditions, until the snow starts to melt.
Our latest batch of spyshots reveals the M4 Convertible wearing little to no camouflage whatsoever, in the company of two other M cars, the F85 X5 M and the F86 X6 M, both of them under heavy camouflage.
The areas hidden from plain view on the M4 however, are already known as we don’t expect them to be different from the ones we saw on the Coupe model. The only novelty this model will bring is the roof, that is completely out in the open here.
Going with the same hard-top choice used on the previous M3, the overall design of the new car looks rather good, contrasting with the wider body of the M4 creating a more dynamic appearance.
As for the engine, the same powerplant will be used as on the Coupe, with 431 HP and 550 Nm of torque. However, with the heavier roof folding mechanism, the Convertible is expected to be a bit slower to 100 km/h (62 mph). Expect the new model to be revealed this year, at Geneva or Paris at the latest.
