Call it whatever you like, a GT, a supercar or a British exotic with a carbon fiber roof, but the Volante is quite simply the hottest car Aston Martin makes.
Its evolutionary design is the first major change for the British marque in a very long time. While the slashes and cuts take some getting used to, the coupe is undoubtadly the most modern design offered by a relatively traditional company.
Did we say coupe? Soon, there's going to be a roadster version as well. Our spy photographers have captured this prototype for a Roadster or Volante version of the car that was testing in Northern Sweden.
Cosmetically, not much is different from the coupe. However, the boot is covered up in black camo. As far as we know, the air flow over a convertible is disrupted by the lack of a roof. So the Vanquish probably has a regular boot spoiler instead of a fixed wing.
The prototype also appears to have a small set of headrests right at the back, indicating the 2+2 layout is still an option. Given the readiness of this prototype, it's reasonable to expect the convertible Aston Martin Vanquish will make its debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March.
