While most of us are preparing for the summer holiday, or are right in the middle of it, August is the perfect time for our spy photograpers to trade their blood, sweat and tears for a few shots of the future models. Their latest catch is a pretty big one, even though you wouldn’t say so judging by its size, as we are talking about the next-generation smart fortwo.
For the 2015 smart, Mercedes-Benz is ready to rely on the success of the current model, but will move past image we see on the street right now, which is actually derived from a concept bought by Mercedes from Swatch CEO Nicolas Hayek.

The design will aimed more at the US consumers, so don’t be scared by this rather awkward Renault Twingo Frankenstein mule. The important bit here is the new front end and since this is covered in heavy camo, it means we’re dealing with the front of the actual car.

Despite the fact that we haven’t heard anything new about the collaboration between Mercedes and Renault for the 2014 smart lately, their engine deal is supposed to still be on. This should mean that the next fortwo will be powered by Renault engines, which will be neetly integrated into an intelligent packaging.
