Today really was a fine day for science CUT spyshots, so out photographers are sending us a new set of images that shows the facelifted version of the Mercedes GLK, which is expected to arrive on the market in the second half of next year.
As you can see, the test vehicle is wearing serious camo in the bumper areas, as here is where most of the visual changes will take place. The revamped GLK will borrow some of the styling cues of the new M-Class, leaving the edgy design behind. As you can see in the images, the vehicle will also adopt LED daytime running lights.

However, most of the changes are expected to take place inside the crossover, where Mercedes is preparing a multitude of novelties.

Under the hood, the facelifted model is expected to be fitted with the 1.8-liter direct-injected, turbocharged engine from the 2012 C-Class, which offers 201 hp and a peak torque of 229 lb-ft. This would be an entry level version, and higher up the power scale we should find the new GLK 350, which will come with the fresh 3.5-liter V6 that delivers 302 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque. Mercedes is also expected to release a Bluetec diesel version.

The 2013 Mercedes GLK facelift is expected to make its debut at next year's Geneva Auto Show.
