Our spy photographers have caught the 2011 Mercedes CLS while sitting almost naked in a parking lot. Even though we already showed you the 100 percent undisguised CLS last month, there’s still some things to be revealed.

Back in May, you were able to see the second generation of the CLS wearing the AMG package, but our new pictures reveal the “civilian” version of the four-door coupe.

The non-AMG pack CLS keeps the aggressive styling of the front end, even though it comes with a tamer bumper and a more conventional front grille. The still-muscular front bumper houses conventional fog lights (the AMG package comes with LED fog lights), while the grille features two horizontal lines, instead of the AMG model’s single one.

The car also comes with different headlights, which have lost the two horizontal LED bars, but offer daytime running lights using the same technology.

The 2011 CLS will come with a more sculpted silhouette, with one of the new design features being the bigger fender flares that offer the car a “wide hips” appearance to the vehicle. The car’s taillights seem to feature a flashy design, which also makes them easier to see.

The second generation of the Mercedes CLS will offer a wide range of petrol and diesel powerplants, including a BlueHybrid powertrain borrowed from the S400 BlueHybrid. The car you see in the pictures is the 350 CGI model that will probably use the recently showcased 3,499 cc V6 unit offering 306 hp and a maximum torque of 370 Nm.

The official presentation of the 2011 Mercedes CLS will be made in September, at this year’s edition of the Paris Auto Show.
