The Audi RS3 Sportback, which is already flooded with power when it leaves the factory, has recently received a tech-focused modification package from Swiss tuner Sportec. We’ll start our story under the hood, where the 2.5-liter five-cylinder turbocharged unit has bee gifted with a stainless steel exhaust system and an ECU remap, which boosted the unit to 408 hp and 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque.
In addition to that, the tuner also offers an even heftier increase for customers outside Switzerland, where the law is more permissive, taking the game to 500 hp. To keep all that power under control, the hatch has been fitted with an adjustable coilover suspension coming from Bilstein, which can bring the vehicle closer to the road by between 20 and 40 mm and with a set of lightweight alloy rims that come in 20-inch size.
As for the stopping power, this has been seriously upgraded through the addition of a Movit braking system.
If you ask us, the icing on this cake is the fact that Sportec tuned the vehicle’s Haldex AWD system, which now allows customers to play with the amount of power sent to the rear axle using a remote control, thus aiming to banish understeer.
