Here’s one for you: a certain tuner has modified a certain vehicle, only adding engine goodies, with the subject’s power level being taken to a stratospheric power level that offers a mind-blowing level of performance. Can you guess what car was used as a base for the project?

Of course, this is way to vague, but even with more details it isn’t easy to guess that we are talking about a Mercedes-Benz S-Klasse.

We’ll get to the point and tell you that the S600 was targeted by the American tuner Speedriven. The vehicle’s V12 engine has been gifted with an ECU remap, top-mounted water-to-air intercoolers, scorpion air intakes and K&N sport air filters. As a result the vehicle now allows the driver to unleash 695 hp and a maximum torque of 840 lb-ft (1,139 Nm).

The vehicle’s automatic gearbox also received attention (many Mercedes-based tuning project are electronically limited to 1,000 Nm to protect the transmission), being fitted with a new controller.

The Speedriven Mercedes S600 power kit can be your for $8,800 (the price doesn’t include the installation charges).

We believe that building big power is the easy part; building big power that is reliable, dependable, and (most of all) usable is the real challenge. Speedriven takes this challenge very seriously, and every Speedriven car - while hugely powerful - is still every inch a Mercedes-Benz, with all the character and gravitas that name carries,” a company release reads.

Our say: This car is begging to be abused!
