Lucid is ready to put you behind the steering wheel of an Air as soon as possible. But if you don't want to spend too much time with the swanky sedan, then here's a great proposition – lease the Air for 18 months, and you could end up among the first Americans to order a customized Gravity SUV. Here's the gist of it.
Lucid may appear to be struggling temporarily, but it just opened its AMP-2 factory in KAEC, Saudi Arabia. The country owns 60.5% of the automaker through its Public Investment Fund (PIF). So, it's unsurprising that the EV maker will work with Ceer, Saudi Arabia's homegrown automaker.

The brand is also getting ready to release the single-motor Air Pure in October and officially introduce the much-awaited Gravity SUV in November. Thus, the brand has two eventful months ahead of it that could help it get back on track.

Lucid also thought of a great idea to get prospective customers into the only vehicle it currently manufactures - the Air. This sedan is a posh zero-emission car that boasts a ton of great features, impressive fast-charging capabilities (if you can hook it to the right charger), and a plush cabin.

Although Lucid still feels like a newcomer to the automotive industry for many Americans and Canadians, it's worth pointing out that its CEO is the former Chief Engineer for the Tesla Model S, Peter Rawlinson.

If that doesn't convince you, then Aston Martin picking Lucid's engineering solutions should help anyone see that the brand has developed a great drivetrain solution. The British marque wouldn't have signed this deal if Lucid wasn't a serious player and an innovative entity.

So, if you want to experience the Air for yourself and have a shot at being one of the first people to drive the upcoming Gravity, Lucid has an amazing offer. Prospective customers can choose an 18-month lease that comes attached with the priority to place an order for the Gravity. Thus, your Lucid SUV could be among the first units that roll out of the brand's Casa Grande, Arizona factory.

It's still a shot in the dark at this point because nobody knows what specs and prices the Gravity will have, but if it'll be anything as good as the Air… Most people will certainly love it.

We tried this offer out for an all-wheel-drive 2023 Lucid Air Pure. This black-on-black sedan without a sunroof has 480 hp, 410 miles of range, and can go from zero to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds. That's enough for any executive to reach a meeting without being a burden to the environment or for families to travel in style. When traffic clears, and the road opens up, put those two motors to work, and you'll have a fun car on your hands.

The unit has a price of $83,975. A 72-month loan at 4.99% APR with a $8,000 downpayment for someone with an 800+ credit score would result in a monthly estimated payment of $1,217.

Leasing, however, changes the calculations. A 36-month lease with an $8,000 downpayment that includes a yearly mileage of 10,000 miles results in a monthly payment of $711.

Halving the period and going for an 18-month lease almost doubles the monthly payment. It would cost us $1,341 per month. However, the current special offer keeps the 36-month payment of $711 for an 18-month period and should give us a chance at being the first in the country to place an order for the Gravity. Multiple customers have already stated on multiple online platforms that they took the deal.

It's an offer prospective Lucid buyers cannot refuse.
