Lingenfelter Performance Engineering has an introductory offer for its new Corsa Chevrolet C8 Corvette Z06 exhaust systems and promises big and loud gains – both on and off the racetrack.
Lingenfelter Performance Engineering (LPE) is an American automotive engineering company rocking the automotive fan's world with high-performance modifications from its headquarters in Brighton, Michigan. The brand was founded and named after NHRA driver John Lingenfelter in Decatur, Indiana, decades ago – and has quickly established a steady (even if it's not necessarily significant) cult following for its work on GM vehicles from then to now.

They touched just about everything, from Camaro and Firebird F-Bodies to GTOs and Corvettes and from Silverado or Hummer H2s to Escalades and Denalis or SSRs. They even once dabbled with performance packages for the cool Plymouth Prowler and legendary Dodge Viper. Currently, Lingenfelter isn't out of touch with the most recent development from General Motors, as they work on everything, from superchargers for SUVs to launch controllers or sporty exhaust systems.

Speaking of the latter, they recently announced the introductory offer (with savings of up to $348 and free installation – which is probably worth even more) for the C8 Chevrolet Corvette Z06. Officially introduced in late 2021, the Z06 recently entered production as a 2023 model year and homologation version for the C8 generation. With a Z07 Performance Package and three trims, the Corvette Z06 is ready to daze and amaze thanks to its widebody stance and the naturally-aspirated 5.5-liter LT6 V8 mill from $108,100.

For that cash and some change (taxes, options, etc.), people are now getting what is dubbed as a mid-engine American Ferrari killer with 670 horsepower at 8,400 rpm, 460 lb-ft (624 Nm) of torque at 6,300 rpm, and a redline of 8,600 rpm. This flat-plane crankshaft V8 mill is currently the most powerful naturally aspirated production V8, ahead of way more expensive marvels like the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Black Series. But what if you are not satisfied with the roar of the Z06 at the track, or you're keen on impressing your neighbors from across the street?

Well, Lingenfelter has a solution or two with the Lingenfelter x Corsa 3.0-inch Valved Cat-Back Exhaust Muffler Delete Track system and its Valved Cat-Back NPP Muffler Exhaust twin. The first is $2,499.99 – down from $2,748.90 and the second is $3,499.99 from $3,848.90 for a limited time and based on the first ten installations programmed next month at a Lingenfelter Build Center. Frankly, even without the price reduction, it's still a good deal because the company says it "unleashes the ultimate in unrestrained aggression and caters to the driver looking to be heard. This exhaust offers an immersive acoustic experience behind the wheel."

But even more importantly, Lingenfelter promises their Corsa exhaust systems will add 12 additional horsepower and 13 lb-ft (dyno-tested) to the Corvette Z06, and that's roughly some 682 horsepower for about the same price of a good aftermarket rear wing! The systems feature Corsa's C8-Spec cast valve assembly and custom-tuned RSC (Reflective Sound Cancellation) tech, 304 stainless steel construction, braided stainless flex couplers, bespoke mufflers, and even "perfectly integrates to the stock actuators allowing the driver to maintain full control of all driving modes" thanks to the bolt-on installation process. Additionally, there is a lifetime warranty for the exhaust system and a five-year limited warranty for the valves.
