It’s not easy for E92 M3 owners to cope with the launch of the new M4. Up until not too long ago, they were driving the most recent M3 Coupe model made. They can still comfort themselves, though, knowing that they are driving cars fitted with the legendary S65 engine that is also BMW’s last naturally aspirated unit.
The 4-liter V8 that was derived from the S85 5-liter V10 unit that used Formula 1 technology, was the last of its kind, ending the naturally aspirated circle of life in Munich.

However, 8 years passed since it was first unveiled and the world has been moving on. Its 420 HP and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque just aren’t enough any more to still keep up in its segment. Now, it’s time for either bigger outputs or forced induction.

For those people out there that are still reluctant towards getting a new M3, there’s still the supercharging game available, just like the E92 M3 below will show you. This particular Space Grey model got a VT2-625 supercharging system that drastically improved the car’s numbers. After it was installed, the car pushed 527 HP and 346 lb-ft (470 Nm) of torque at the wheels good enough numbers to run with almost anyone out there.

Of course, that wasn’t it. The car also got a Challenge Stainless steel sport x-pipe with hi-flow cats and an Eisenmann race exhaust to deal with the extra fumes. That was just the technical bit. The best part of this arrangement is that the sound was almost untouched, leaving us with goosebumps every time we hear it.

That was under the hood. On the outside, the car received an Arkym carbon fiber AeroSport front lip spoiler, Forgestar V14 ultra deep concave wheels measuring 19x10 inches up front and 19x11 at the back, KW adjustable springs for a new stance and Project Kics R40 open end tuner lug nuts in neochrome that look absolutely killer. Check it out!
