smart fortwo electric drive Commercial: The Future Has Arrived

With total production amounting to a five-figure number, the third generation smart fortwo electric drive will be available from the spring of 2012, in more than 30 countries around the world, and to promote the car and its availability, the German automaker has decided to promote it with a futuristic commercial, basically saying this is what cars will be like from now on.
While we’re not yet jumping on the EV bandwagon, especial if it’s this small, the electric fortwo does make a bit of sense. This features a 55 kW electric motor that passes the 120 km/h mark. With a run of 0 to 100 km/h in less than 13 seconds, the city car can travel around 140 kilometers in city traffic without producing any local emissions.

The new dedicated color combination brings crystal white body panels, white alloy rims, a green tradition cell, green mirror caps and numerous green accents in the interior which contrast with the black seats.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
