The 12-Hour race at Bathhurst might have caused quite a lot of mini heart attacks to its viewers in the last couple of laps, especially since the difference between the winner and the second place car was a hard-to-believe (especially after twelve friggin' hours, ed) 0.4138 seconds.
The AMG Customers Teams almost reiterated last year's success, but considering he circumstances, 2014 wasn't a bad year either.

After a heart-pumping last-minute duel with the winning Ferrari, the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 from HTP Motorsport managed to finish the grueling Australian race in second place with Maximilian Buhk behind the wheel.

Third place went to the SLS from Erebus Motorsport, while last year's winner Bernd Schneider managed to finish in seventh position.

Jochen Bitzer, head of AMG Customer Sports: “It was a truly thrilling race with commanding motorsports on Mount Panorama. Having two SLS AMG GT3 on the podium and each of the three participating SLS AMG GT3 in the top ten is, all in all, an excellent result. The victory was within reach but unfortunately, in the end, a gap of 0.4138 seconds separated us from the first position. I want to thank the AMG customer teams of HTP Motorsport and Erebus Motorsport and all drivers. Congratulations to the team of Maranello Motorsport for today’s victory in the race.”
