Skoda is not the kind of manufacturer which launches many special editions for their vehicles, and when they do, the end result is very competent. The newly-unveiled Yeti Laurin and Klement Edition, named after the bicycle company founded by Vaclav Laurin and Vaclav Klement, which eventually ended up becoming Skoda, is a more luxurious version of Skoda’s crossover, for those who may feel that owning a car made by the Czech manufacturer is not a ‘special’ experience.
It is the third Laurin & Klement-branded Skoda, following the special edition Octavia and Superb, and it gets the same kind of treatment. Leather seats, aluminium pedals, special glossy black plastic trim, and Laurin & Klement badging.
The engine range will be left untouched, so buyers can opt for the wide variety of turbocharged petrol and diesel engines on offer, as well as the optional all-wheel drive system. The list of kit includes bi-xenon headlights, special 17-inch alloys and brushed-silver roof rails.
Pricing has yet to be announced, but Skoda will be doing so very shortly, closer to the model’s official launch, which has yet to be specified.
