Shooting Skit Out of a Speeding Porsche 911 Targa Is How a Gentleman Rides Shotgun

The Targa incarnation of the Porsche 911 came to the world mainly thanks to the fresh-air-loving Americans fearing what might happen in case of a Cabriolet rollover. While definitely in love with Zuffenhausen’s Targa, the British might just have a different view on the purpose of such a Neunelfer.
At least that’s true for Philip Thorrold, the man who runs the homonymous shooting academy. The gunpowder ace shows a deep understanding of the 911 Targa’s assets.

For one thing, the man looked at that massive bar behind the front seats and saw its potential in terms of being used as a support for someone who would like to shoot clay pigeons out of the car.

Oh, did we mention the car was being manhandled at the time, while the skits were shot by what appears to be a DIY machine placed in the nose of the 911 - once again, instead of complaining about the size of the frunk, the man came up with a reasonable solution to the limited luggage capacity.

Did we say “manhandled” above? Sorry, we meant womanhandled.

That’s because the rear-engined machine in the footage below is being drifted and hooned by Philip’s blonde assistant. You know, the woman who drifted the rare Ferrari 599 SA Aperta over the shotgun shells resulted from the sharp shooter’s similar activities showcased in his previous video (you’ll also find this clip below).

We have plenty of reasons to show our appreciation for this man’s way of handling what is probably a Citori 725 20-Gauge shotgun.

However, we’ll only list the most important one. While Philip and his driver aren’t exactly keeping that Targa in mint condition, we imagine he’s the kind of guy who wouldn’t have an issue with commissioning a full restoration one day. Unlike the rednecks in the third clip below.
